# Credit System

Gobu uses a credit-based system to ensure fair and sustainable access to its AI-powered PDF analysis. This approach helps keep the platform fast, focused, and affordable for all users.

## 1. How It Works

* 1 credit = 1 PDF analysis
  * Each time you analyze a PDF with Gobu’s AI, it consumes 1 credit.
* Monthly credit reset
  * Credits included in your plan reset at the beginning of each month.
* Included in your plan
  * Your plan determines how many credits you receive each month.
* Need more credits? You can:
  * Upgrade your plan at any time.
  * Contact us if you’ve hit your credit limit on the Researcher Plan.

## 2. Why a Credit System?

AI document analysis is computationally intensive and costly. A credit system ensures:

* Fair access for all users
* High-speed, high-quality insights
* Long-term platform sustainability

## 3. How can I check for my remaining credits?

* Click your initials in the top right corner of Gobu
* Select **Settings** → **Credits & Limits**
